Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, better known by her stage name of Ari Lennox, is an American singer and musician who hails from Washington, D.C., who was the first woman to be signed to J. Cole's Dreamville Records record label. In October 21st, 2016 she debuted Pho, her debut EP for the Dreamville Records label. That was the day she began to gain recognition. The album that she released as her debut album Shea Butter Baby was released on May 7 2019. Ari Lennox first uploaded songs online in the year 2012. Her debut album Ariography and debut mixtape in 2013 five Finger Discount. The singer continued uploading her tracks online through 2014 and released her own single Bound. On July 21st, the 21st of July in 2015 Omen featured her on Elephant Eyes song Sweat It Out. J. Cole, who was part of the Dreamville team at the time and wanted her to perform on Rihanna and Rihanna-related songs. The news was released on the 8th of December that she had signed with Dreamville Records. Backseat was a track she recorded with Cozz to record the collaboration album Revenge of the Dreamers II. The singer released Pho, her debut EP, on October 21 the 21st of October, 2016. Ari Lennox appeared in J. Cole's Change track and also opened her own tour, the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017. In 2018, she performed in two songs, with EarthGang's Nothing but the Best song and Bas's Icarus. Ari Lennox, on the 16th of July in 2018 she released her debut single "Whipped Cream" from Shea Butter Baby. The music video was also released on September 5th. The second single she released was called Grampa on the 9th of November. Two singles more were released on the 11th of November, titled Pedigree and No One. Shea Butter Baby. Shea Butter Baby then made an appearance in the Creed II album soundtrack alongside Cole. She released this single in order to announce her debut album Creed II on 26 February 2019. In February the music video for the track debuted. It has had more than three million YouTube views in just a single week. The singer was a part of 6LACK's From East Atlanta With Love Tour at the end of December the year 2018.
